DISLOCATION DANCE

From the Vinyl Japan website where you can buy all three releases

"Signed to the Buzzcocks' label New Hormones and Rough Trade Records in the early '80s, Dislocation Dance remain an important contributor to pop history, storming through musical genres. Eclectic and unpredictable, they created new hybrids and blurred the boundaries between pop, dance and jazz. DISLOCATION DANCE were a musical 'lucky dip' - they had one foot in anarchic post new wave 'jazz/punk' and the other in 'Parisian/jazz/cool-pop'.

Featuring Andy Diagram (later to be in the PALE FOUNTAINS, and one time trumpet player for JAMES), DISLOCATION DANCE were to be an inspiration for the many young 'new wave' bands that played support to them in those formative post-punk years, like China Crisis, OMD, Scritti Politti, as well as an adolescent Mick Hucknall and a young Morrissey."
