Kulas played a night of shows at Toronto's El Mocombo club last Thursday 23 August. He played guitar with Katie Griffin and Robbie Roth's bands then performed his own solo set featuring Anyone Else, Star Land, Instamatic Camera, Glasgow Rain, Having and Losing It All (solo acoustic), Beautiful Day, Pavement, All The Rage, Beginning of the End and Hallelujah (solo acoustic)
Adrian Oxaal is scheduled to play another solo gig at Brighton's Evening Star pub on Sunday October 5th.

Tim has written the foreword for a book entitled "Vodou Shaman" by Ross Heaven which covers the subject of Haitian healing and power methods. Amazon.co.uk has a January 2004 publication date for the book.
According to Heaven's website "In his foreword, Tim will concentrate on one of the key themes in The Way of the Houngan: the need for healing and community in the West in order to avert the sort of negativity that leads to breakdown and conflict on a personal and global scale. He will also reveal something of his own spiritual path."
Tim has also contributed to a book called Generations where famous people "reveal the strange and beautiful truth about themselves and their grandparents" to support two charities Railway Children and Age Concern. Click here to find out more.

The James original version of Laid is being used on UK TV trailers for the American Wedding film that is released in the cinemas here today. The film itself features a cover by new US artist Matt Nathanson. If you want to hear it follow the link to this Matt Nathanson messageboard for a radio capture of the track.
Kulas has renamed his new band The Vinyl Dolls. It appears the Dead City Radio monicker was already taken. He will continue to perform under the Kulas name until the forthcoming album is ready for release.
