Update 26.12.01

The official James website has an exclusive download of a remix of Fine from the Pleased To Meet You album by Mark Hunter (Chunney Lad). The file is in mp3 format.

Tim Booth's own website - www.timbooth.net - will now not be up and running until the New Year as opposed to December as was announced in his departure statement.

Update 21.12.01

T-shirts and other merchandise from James recent tour should be available on the official merchandise site www.bandmad.com early in the New Year.  It was originally scheduled to be available from last Monday, but was delayed.

Update 14.12.01

Website Ananova has reported that the DVD of the Manchester show is due for a February release.  As yet there has however been no official release date publicised.

Update 12.12.01

The two solo albums - Mosquito and Another Small Machine - are now available again to buy from Opal Music for £10.95 each.

Andy Diagram's band The Spaceheads are on tour in Europe over the next couple of months.  Dates confirmed so far are :

Update 11.12.01

James played an emotional final show with Tim Booth at Wembley Arena last night to a crowd of about 10,000 people.  The set included guest appearances by Andy Diagram, Larry Gott and Brian Eno.

The setlist was as follows : Laid, Waltzing Along, Tomorrow, She's A Star, I Know What I'm Here For, God Only Knows, Protect Me, Out To Get You, Hymn From A Village, Someone's Got It In For Me, Getting Away With It (All Messed Up), English Beefcake, Sometimes, Johnny Yen, Born of Frustration, Ring The Bells / Top Of The World, Sound / Come Home, Sit Down

James played Thursday night at Birmingham NEC to a crowd of about 6,000 people. The setlist ran as follows:

The following night, James played a triumphant homecoming show in Manchester in front of a sell-out crowd of 16,000.  Ex-band members Larry Gott and Andy Diagram made guest appearances.

The show was filmed for a DVD release early in the new year.

Andy Diagram did not perform at the show, but is reported to be appearing at all the remaining shows on the tour.

James played their third date of their tour last night at the Telewest Arena in Newcastle.

The setlist included Hymn From A Village, not played since 1994 at least if my memory serves me correctly, and Someone's Got It In For Me.  Full setlist to come.

Early reports from James gig last night at Leeds University show that James played a very similar setlist to the Brighton show, without any guest appearances, but including I Defeat (which Tim said they'd never played before - Hereford and Glasgow in 1998 spring to mind), Waltzing Along and Top Of The World.

Today saw the release of the James B-Sides Ultra and the re-release of remastered versions of the Gold Mother, Seven, Laid and Whiplash.  The stand out track of the extra tracks has to be the previously unreleased Mark Hunter remixed Say Something (The Saying Nothing Remix).  Early reports suggest many people are having difficulty getting hold of them.

James opened their final UK tour with Tim Booth at the Brighton Centre last night.  The setlist consisted of :

The show also saw a new tour programme featuring new pictures, a gigography, fans reminiscing about James and the sleevenotes to the remastered albums.  There was also an extensive selection of new t-shirts including James written in the shape of a face, the classic JA-M-ES shirts, a University of Manchester shirt with the James flower in place of the logo, a 3D style flower logo, a sweatshirt with a small daisy on the front and several vests / skinny tops based around the flower.  Mugs and the Folklore book were also available.
