Update 20.6.01
James compilation album of material from their Sire and Factory days "Strange Dancing - The Early Years" is now scheduled for release on Monday 23rd July.
The album artwork has finally been revealed - see the picture above. The "man" on the cover is a computer generated image from pictures of all seven band members - click here to read Tim's explanation to Q of the concept behind the cover.

Last night James played an exclusive "Sessions" set for XFM at the Sound nightclub in Leicester Square. The 20 song set featured Alaskan Pipeline, Space, Stand, Senorita, Junkie, Waltzing Along, Sometimes, Just Like Fred Astaire, Pleased To Meet You, The Shining, Falling Down, I Know What I'm Here For, Destiny Calling, Fine, English Beefcake, Born of Frustration and Ring The Bells with an encore of What Is It Good For?, She's A Star and Getting Away With It (All Messed Up).

James have been confirmed to play the Benicassim Festival in Spain on Friday August 3rd, according to the festival's site www.fiberfim.com

The James official website is running a competition for five pairs of tickets to the XFM gig. The competition winners will be notified on Thursday 14th so don't delay with your entry.

James will be appearing on CDUK this Saturday 16th June, starting at 11.30am on ITV.
James are playing an exclusive gig for XFM at Sound in Leicester Square next Monday 18th June. Tickets can only be obtained by entering a competition at the XFM website.

Update 7.6.01
Mercury have updated their James site - www.jamesonline.co.uk - with a news section, audio streams of samples of English Beefcake, Pleased To Meet You and Fine plus a full version of the track Pleased To Meet You. There is the promise that all tracks will be available on stream before the album release.
There is also the chance to watch the videos for Waltzing Along, Born of Frustration, Destiny Calling, an electronic Press Kit, Laid, Runaground, Sit Down, Say Something, Sometimes, She's A Star and Tomorrow.
There's also a competition that you have to enter numerous times to get the various bits of the site and the navigation can be a bit tricky, but go and have a look, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Pleased To Meet You will also be released in Spain, Portugal and Greece on July 2nd, the same day as the UK. No other international releases have been confirmed. For those outside these countries, CD-WOW are selling the album for £8.99 including free worldwide delivery.
