JAMES : NEWS ARCHIVE JUNE 2004

Update 24.6.04

Tim Booth played a fantastic concert last night at Bedford's Esquires Club.  The setlist was Discover, Down To The Sea, Five-O, Wave Hello, Eh Mamma, Sometimes, Dance Of The Bad Angel, Bone, What Goes On, Butterfly's Dream, Monkey God, What's Goes On (second version) and Fall In Love.   Drummer Milo also did an impromptu stand up routine between the main set and the encore.  Click here for a review.

Update 22.6.04

James are playing a gig in London at the Betsey Trotwood pub on July 14th.   Unfortunately it's not the rebirth of THE James, it's an Icelandic band that appears to have taken James name.

Tim Booth has been confirmed as playing the Music Choice Stage at the V Festival on Saturday 21st August at Chelmsford and Sunday 22nd August at Stafford.  He appears to be clashing with UK chart-toppers Keane's appearance on the NME Stage.

Tim's debut solo album Bone charted at number 98 this week.

Update 11.6.04

Tim Booth is playing a session tomorrow morning - 12 June - on London's LBC radio station (97.3FM) during Paul Ross' show from 10am to 1pm.  He is also appearing on Simon Mayo's BBC Radio 5 show on Monday afternoon between 1 and 4.

Tim and the band will also be performing live on BBC3's Glastonbury Calling programme between 8pm and 9pm on Monday 14 June.

Tim is also going to be doing radio promotion in Spain on the 15th and 16th of June and in Portugal on the 21st to 23rd June.  Lee and Lisa are travelling as well so there will be radio sessions involved, not just interviews.

During an interview on Andrew Collins Radio 6 show (see mp3 section for more), Tim ruled out the possibility of a James reunion in the near future, mentioning that they had been approached to reform for last year's Isle of Wight Festival, but he turned it down.

Update 3.6.04

Tim Booth is playing a warm-up for his Glastonbury Festival appearance at Bedford Esquires on Wednesday 23rd June.

Tim's official site - www.timbooth.co.uk - now has links to samples of the album Bone and the whole video for the single Down To The Sea.

Update 1.6.04

Tim Booth is playing the New Stage at the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday 26th June.  He is second headliner behind Zero 7.

Tim is also playing "Thug" in the Batman Returns film due out in 2005.
