Update 7.11.01
Several people have asked about how to get tickets for November's Portuguese shows - Lisbon Coliseum on November 23, Porto Coliseum on November 24.
Taking a look at the web, there's a phone line for a company called SIC.24 that has the Lisbon show on their website - http://ondaticket.siconline.pt/. Their telephone number is 00351 21 417 3111. I hope someone there speaks English because the site's totally in Portuguese!
There seem to be another number as well : Ticketline (Lisbon) 00351 21 712 03 00
I presume one of these would give you a number for Porto as well.
For the Madrid show at La Riviera on November 22, this site gives you details of the show and allows you to order on-line for collection on the day from the venue. It even allows you to do this in English if you click the button in the top left hand corner. To phone for tickets, use the number 0034 902 15 00 25 from the site to reserve your tickets.
In Tim's interview with Channel 4 teletext - click here - he revealed he hopes to have some music out in April 2002 - watch this space for more details.
Turin Brakes, previously announced as support for James UK tour, will now not be appearing at the Leeds University show on December 3rd. They will still appear at all other shows. Replacements have not yet been announced.
A Portuguese band called Plastica, who Tim met during James festival performances in Portugal in May 2000, will be supporting James on their two Portuguese dates in Lisbon and Portugal.
Update 5.11.01
According to US website www.sirencd.com, Mercury are re-issuing four classic James albums with extra tracks on December 3.
The albums with the extra tracks are as follows:
Gold Mother - plus Come Home (Skunk Weed Skank Mix), Lose Control (live), Sit Down (live), Gold Mother (Warp Remix)
Seven - plus Protect Me (Acoustic Live), Sound (live), Heavens (live), Don't Wait That Long (live)
Laid - plus Laid (live), Sometimes (live), Five-O (live), Say Something (remix)
Whiplash - plus Lost A Friend (live), Greenpeace (live), Homeboy (live), Waltzing Along (Flytronix Mix)
I assume that the live tracks on Gold Mother are from the G-Mex 1990 show, the Seven tracks are from the Seven live video, the Laid tracks from the Radio 1 James Day and the Whiplash tracks from the Radio 1 Mark Radcliffe session (Lost A Friend) and the Shepherds Bush Empire Radio 1 show from March 1997.
Not very inspired choices for extra tracks when we have a surfeit of b-sides and acoustic radio session tracks....
More as it gets confirmed.
