Update 26.9.02

The release of the DVD Getting Away With It Live has now been officially confirmed for Tuesday October 8 for North America in Region 1 NTSC format.

In a statement to the official James site, the band confirmed that they are still going as an entity and that they will be looking for a replacement soon. No specific comment was made on Saul, Dave and Mark's album and Saul's future plans which Saul revealed to the Portuguese magazine Blitz in July

Update 20.9.02

Listings on CD Now and BestBuy.com have an October 8 release date for the Getting Away With It Live DVD in the United States, one week later than the Canadian release.

The Portuguese music paper Blitz is giving away a 2 track cd single featuring EZ Special produced by our very own Saul Davies who also performs backing vocals and plays guitar on the track Daisy.

Archambault.ca an online store in Quebec, Canada now have the James DVD Getting Away With It Live on sale for CAD 30.98 with a release date of October 1, seemingly confirming the growing evidence of a region 1 NTSC release.

Update 19.9.02 am

Getting Away With It Live has risen to number 2 in the Portuguese charts this week.

Jam Music, a Canadian website, is listing a release of the DVD Getting Away With It Live in Canada on October 1.   This would be Region 1 and NTSC and should therefore play in all standard US DVD players and televisions.  Siren Disc are taking pre-orders for the DVD (under Future Releases), but it hasn't as yet been listed on Amazon Canada.

Update 10.9.02

Ez Special, the Portuguese band that Saul is producing and helping promote, have a track called Daisy available to listen to on Radio Comercial, a leading Portuguese radio station.

Update 9.9.02

Almost three months after its release, the live album Getting Away With It Live is sitting at number 3 in the Portuguese album charts, up two places from last week.

The film Jade Love with the soundtrack provided by Michael Kulas has been chosen for the Vancouver Film Festival.  Samples from the album can be heard on the official Kulas Online site.

Gavan Whelan has produced the forthcoming 13 track album by upcoming North West band Alive.  The album entitled All Frequencies Covered will be released on Effin Records on October 7th.  Gavan is credited with "Special Thanks to Gavan Whelan whose inspired production has not only succeeded in capturing the sound but also the personality of Alive".  More information can be found by visiting the Alive site.

Siren CD, a US online record store is advertising a region 1 NTSC Canadian release of the Getting Away With It Live DVD for September 30.  To find more details on their site, click on Future Releases and then scroll down to James.  Price is $25.49.   There's been no official confirmation to date.
