In various Ten Years Ago Today chart rundowns, it says Sit Down reached Number 1 in 1991. Was this true as I thought it only reached Number 2?
One Of The Three's response : Sit Down did not reach Number 1 in the official Radio 1 Gallup charts. However, in the early Nineties, there was a competitive chart called the Network Chart which claimed to be more up-to-date and covering more record stores, which broadcast on syndicated UK independent stations, in which Sit Down was actually Number 1 for one week whilst sitting at Number 2 in the official charts.
