JAMES FAQ - MILLIONAIRES ALBUM
Question : One of my favourite James tracks is Afro Lover. I have a selection of bootlegs, but none contain this song. Have James ever played this song live?
One Of The Three's Response : James have indeed never played Afro Lover live. I did ask Mark about this on the Millionaires tour and he told me that the way it was recorded and mixed in the studio meant that to perform it live, there would have to be so much prerecorded material in the mix that the "live" element would be too low in the mix. Hence the band have never attempted to play it live.
