WALTZING ALONG
First released 1997
Waltzing Along sounded, according to Jim, like Chris Rea, when it was first played in the studio. One of the older tracks on Whiplash, it features Larry on slide guitar on the album version. A popular singalong track on the Whiplash tour, it was rerecorded with a slightly harder and rockier sound and was released as the third single off the album in June 1997.

LYRICS
Help comes
When you need it most
I'm cured by laughter
Mood swings - not sure I can cope
My life's in plaster (in plaster)
May your mind be wide open
May your heart beat strong
May your minds will be broken
By this heartfelt song
These wounds are all self-imposed
Life's no disaster
All roads lead onto death row
Who knows what's after
May your mind be wide open
May your heart beat strong
May your minds will be broken
By this heartfelt song
(I live my life)
May your mind set you free
May your heart lead you on
May your mind let you be (be opened by the wonderful)
May your heart lead you on (may your heart lead you on)
May your mind set you free of all disasters (be opened by the wonderful)
May your heart lead you on (may your heart lead you on)
May your mind set you free of all disasters (be opened by the wonderful)
May your heart lead you on
